The Do Dham yatra involves visiting two sacred shrines, Kedarnath (abode of Lord Shiva) and Badrinath (the abode of Lord Vishnu).
The Kedarnath temple, which requires a trek from Gaurikund, is situated on the banks of the Mandakini River and surrounded by the beautiful snow-capped Himalayan peaks. Another shrine, Badrinath, is situated on the banks of the Alaknanda River and surrounded by the Nar-Narayan mountain ranges. As we know, both the temples are located in the lap of the Himalaya, at very high altitudes in a tough terrain increases the challenges for devotees. But now in 2025, there are options to complete the Do Dham yatra by Helicopter.
